Kizomba has always been part and parcel of Helio's culture and life passage. His teaching methodology was personally developed as a result of his life path and experiences from traveling around the world sharing his knowledge. Helio's contemporary studies play a major role in his Kizomba style and techniques which equipped him with dexterity in movement and body contact. “Having studied conscious movement and contact improvisation allowed me to go deeper and understand our body’s infinite creative energy”. Kizomba is an extremely close dance with sensual moves and complicity between man and woman, their bodies being in conversation and exchanging this infinite creative energy.

After all these years, Helio has thus consolidated his experiences and set up a project that truly represents how he sees and lives the dance.

Kizomba-inner journey was born out of Helio's passion in sharing the beauty of the dance and exploring the deepest part of the human soul. Through Body Connection, Body Awareness, Musicality, Intuition, Contact and Improvisation, this Dance Journey can help you discover your unique movement, understand better yourself and the person with whom you are connecting with.
